Louisa Ulrika of Prussia
Louisa Ulrika of Prussia (1720-1782) was a German princess and the queen consort of Sweden. Born in Berlin, she was the daughter of Frederick William I of Prussia and Sophia Dorothea of Hanover. Louisa married King Frederick I of Sweden in 1744, becoming an influential figure in Swedish politics and culture.
As queen, Louisa Ulrika was known for her patronage of the arts and her efforts to modernize Sweden. She played a significant role in the establishment of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts and was involved in various cultural initiatives, promoting education and the arts throughout her reign.
