Louis_Philippe_I
Louis Philippe I was the King of the French from 1830 to 1848, known as the "Citizen King" due to his middle-class background. He came to power after the July Revolution, which overthrew the Bourbon monarchy. His reign was marked by a focus on constitutional monarchy and economic growth, appealing to the bourgeoisie.
During his rule, Louis Philippe I faced increasing opposition from republicans and socialists, leading to political unrest. In February 1848, widespread protests culminated in his abdication, and he fled to England. His departure marked the end of the July Monarchy and the beginning of the Second Republic in France.
