Louis Pergaud
Louis Pergaud was a French author born on February 22, 1882, in Belmont, France. He is best known for his novel La Guerre des boutons, published in 1912, which tells the story of children from rival villages engaged in playful battles. Pergaud's writing often reflects themes of childhood, nature, and rural life.
In addition to his literary work, Pergaud served in the French army during World War I. Tragically, he was killed in action on April 8, 1915. His contributions to literature, particularly in the realm of children's stories, have left a lasting impact on French literature.
