Louis I of Nevers
Louis I of Nevers was a French nobleman born in 1396, known for his role as the Duke of Nevers. He was a member of the House of Valois and played a significant part in the political landscape of France during the early 15th century. His lineage connected him to various influential families, enhancing his status in the region.
In 1419, Louis became the Count of Rethel and later inherited the title of Duke of Nevers. He was involved in the conflicts of the Hundred Years' War and was known for his loyalty to the French crown. Louis I died in 1466, leaving a legacy tied to the turbulent history of France.
