Lough Leane
Lough Leane is the largest of the three lakes in the Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Ireland. It covers an area of approximately 38 square kilometers and is known for its scenic beauty, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery. The lake is home to various wildlife, including swans and otters, and is a popular spot for fishing and boating.
The lake is fed by several rivers, including the River Laune, and is connected to the other two lakes, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake. Lough Leane is also significant for its historical sites, such as the Innisfallen Island, which features the ruins of a medieval monastery.
