Lorises
Lorises are small, nocturnal primates found in tropical forests of Southeast Asia and India. They belong to the family Lorisidae and are known for their large eyes, which help them see in the dark. Lorises have a slow and deliberate movement, allowing them to blend into their surroundings and avoid predators.
These primates are primarily insectivorous but also eat fruits, leaves, and small animals. Lorises are unique for their ability to produce a toxic secretion from their elbows, which they can apply to their fur or deliver through bites. This adaptation helps protect them from potential threats in the wild.
