Loretta Lynch
Loretta Lynch is an American attorney who served as the 83rd Attorney General of the United States from 2015 to 2017. She was the first African American woman to hold this position. Before her appointment, Lynch was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where she focused on civil rights and public corruption cases.
Born on May 21, 1959, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Lynch earned her law degree from Harvard Law School. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her commitment to justice and her efforts to address issues such as police misconduct and voting rights.
