Local Spiritual Assemblies
Local Spiritual Assemblies are elected bodies within the Bahá'í Faith that serve as the administrative and spiritual leaders of a community. They are composed of nine members who are chosen annually by the local Bahá'í community through a process of voting. These assemblies are responsible for organizing community activities, promoting the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, and addressing the needs of the local population.
The primary function of a Local Spiritual Assembly is to foster unity and cooperation among community members. They also provide guidance on spiritual matters, support educational initiatives, and facilitate social and economic development projects. Local Spiritual Assemblies play a crucial role in the overall structure of the Bahá'í administrative system, linking local communities to national and international bodies.
