Lithuanian Elections
Lithuania holds elections for its Parliament, known as the Seimas, every four years. The electoral system is a mixed-member proportional representation, allowing voters to choose both individual candidates and party lists. This system aims to ensure that the representation in the Seimas reflects the overall vote distribution among parties.
In addition to parliamentary elections, Lithuania also conducts presidential elections every five years. The President serves as the head of state and is elected by a direct popular vote. These elections are crucial for shaping the country's political landscape and governance.
