Linear Scripts
Linear scripts are writing systems where characters or symbols represent sounds or syllables in a sequential manner. This means that the text is read from left to right or top to bottom, following a straight line. Examples of linear scripts include the Latin alphabet and Cyrillic script, which are used in many modern languages.
These scripts are distinct from non-linear writing systems, such as Chinese characters, where each symbol can represent a whole word or concept. Linear scripts are often easier to learn for beginners, as they typically have a more straightforward relationship between sounds and symbols.
