Liga MX
Liga MX is the top professional football league in Mexico. Founded in 1943, it features 18 teams that compete annually for the championship. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the lower division, Ascenso MX, ensuring a competitive environment.
The season is divided into two tournaments: the Clausura and the Apertura. Each tournament culminates in a playoff system known as the Liguilla, where the top teams compete for the title. Liga MX is known for its passionate fan base and has produced many talented players who have gone on to play internationally.
