Licinius
Licinius was a Roman Emperor who ruled from 308 to 324 AD. He was initially a co-emperor with Constantine the Great and played a significant role in the power struggles of the Tetrarchy, a system of governance established by Diocletian. Licinius was known for his military skills and his efforts to maintain control over the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire.
His reign was marked by conflict, particularly with Constantine, leading to a series of battles. Ultimately, Licinius was defeated in 324 AD and subsequently executed. His rule is often remembered for the religious policies he enacted, which included a brief period of tolerance towards Christianity before reverting to persecution.
