Levator_Scapulae
The Levator Scapulae is a muscle located at the back and side of the neck. It originates from the transverse processes of the first four cervical vertebrae and inserts into the upper part of the scapula, or shoulder blade. This muscle plays a key role in elevating the scapula and assisting in neck movement.
In addition to its primary function, the Levator Scapulae helps stabilize the shoulder during various activities. It is often involved in actions such as shrugging the shoulders and tilting the neck. Proper function of this muscle is important for overall shoulder and neck health.
