Leo Varadkar is an Irish politician who has served as the Taoiseach, or Prime Minister, of Ireland. He first held this position from June 2017 to March 2020 and returned to office in December 2022. Varadkar is a member of the Fine Gael party and has been involved in politics since he was elected to the Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas, in 2007.
