Leafhoppers
Leafhoppers are small, jumping insects belonging to the family Cicadellidae. They are typically green or brown and are known for their ability to hop quickly when disturbed. These insects feed on the sap of plants, using their specialized mouthparts to pierce the plant tissue.
Leafhoppers can be found in various habitats, including gardens, fields, and forests. While they are often harmless, some species can transmit plant diseases, affecting crops and ornamental plants. Their presence can be identified by the tiny, angled shapes they leave on leaves, known as "hopper burn."
