Lauren Hill
Lauren Hill was an American basketball player known for her talent and determination. Born on January 8, 1995, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she played for the Mount St. Joseph University women's basketball team. Hill gained national attention when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, known as diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, in 2013.
Despite her illness, Hill inspired many by continuing to play basketball and advocating for cancer research. She played her first college game on November 2, 2014, which was a significant moment for her and her supporters. Hill passed away on April 10, 2015, but her legacy continues to impact many lives.
