Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party
The Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party (LSDSP) is a political party in Latvia, founded in 1918. It aims to represent the interests of the working class and promote social justice, equality, and democratic socialism. The party has played a significant role in Latvian politics, especially during the early 20th century and after Latvia regained independence in 1990.
Throughout its history, the LSDSP has faced various challenges, including competition from other political parties and shifts in public opinion. Despite these challenges, it continues to advocate for workers' rights and social welfare policies, contributing to the broader political landscape in Latvia and aligning with similar parties across Europe, such as the Party of European Socialists.
