Lara Giddings
Lara Giddings is an Australian politician who served as the 13th Premier of Tasmania from 2011 to 2014. She is a member of the Australian Labor Party and was the first woman to hold the position of Premier in Tasmania. Giddings was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 2006, representing the Denison electorate.
During her time in office, Giddings focused on issues such as education, health, and economic development. She also worked on initiatives to improve Tasmania's infrastructure and promote renewable energy. After her tenure as Premier, Giddings continued to serve in various roles within the Tasmanian government.
