Lani Hall
Lani Hall is an American singer and songwriter, best known for her work in the jazz and pop genres. Born on November 1, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, she gained fame as the lead vocalist for the band Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66. Hall's smooth voice and unique style contributed to the group's success in the 1960s, particularly with hits like "Mas, que Nada."
In addition to her work with Mendes, Lani Hall has released several solo albums and collaborated with various artists throughout her career. She is also known for her marriage to Herb Alpert, a prominent musician and co-founder of A&M Records.
