Landgrave Louis VI of Hesse-Rotenburg
Landgrave Louis VI of Hesse-Rotenburg was a German nobleman born on March 18, 1719. He belonged to the House of Hesse and ruled the territory of Hesse-Rotenburg, a small state in the Holy Roman Empire. Louis VI was known for his efforts to modernize his territory and improve the welfare of his subjects.
He became the Landgrave in 1739 and ruled until his death on December 14, 1768.
