Lake Tiberias
Lake Tiberias, also known as the Sea of Galilee, is a freshwater lake located in northern Israel. It is the largest freshwater lake in the country, covering an area of about 166 square kilometers. The lake is situated approximately 209 meters below sea level, making it the lowest freshwater lake on Earth. It is fed by the Jordan River and is surrounded by hills and mountains, providing a picturesque landscape.
