Lake Pend Oreille
Lake Pend Oreille is a large freshwater lake located in northern Idaho. It is the fifth-deepest lake in the United States, reaching depths of over 1,150 feet. The lake covers approximately 148 square miles and is surrounded by the scenic Selkirk Mountains and Coeur d'Alene National Forest.
The lake is known for its clear waters and diverse wildlife, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and hiking. Lake Pend Oreille is also home to several species of fish, including Mackinaw trout and Kokanee salmon, attracting anglers from around the region.
