Lake Diefenbaker
Lake Diefenbaker is a large reservoir located in Saskatchewan, Canada. It was created by the construction of the Diefenbaker Dam on the South Saskatchewan River in the early 1960s. The lake spans approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) in length and covers an area of about 140 square kilometers (54 square miles). It serves multiple purposes, including irrigation, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation.
The lake is named after John Diefenbaker, the 13th Prime Minister of Canada, who played a significant role in its development.
