Francis II of France
Francis II of France was born on January 19, 1544, and became king at the young age of 15 after the death of his father, Henry II. His reign lasted from 1559 until his death in 1560. Francis was married to Mary, Queen of Scots, which strengthened the ties between France and Scotland.
His rule was marked by political instability and religious conflict, particularly between Catholics and Protestants. Francis II's reign ended when he died on December 5, 1560, likely due to health issues. After his death, his half-brother, Charles IX, ascended to the throne.
