Labelle
Labelle is a musical group formed in the early 1960s, originally known as The Blue Belles. The group consisted of members Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx, Sarah Dash, and Cindy Birdsong. They are known for their powerful vocals and energetic performances, blending genres like soul, R&B, and rock.
In 1974, they released the hit song "Lady Marmalade," which became a signature track for the group. Labelle was notable for their flamboyant style and strong stage presence, paving the way for future female artists in the music industry. They disbanded in 1976 but left a lasting legacy.
