La Hougue Tower
La Hougue Tower is a historic coastal defense structure located on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. Built in the late 18th century, it was designed to protect the island from potential invasions, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. The tower is a prominent example of military architecture from that era.
The tower stands at approximately 18 meters tall and features a circular design with thick stone walls. It is part of a larger fortification system that includes other structures, such as Elizabeth Castle and Mont Orgueil Castle. Today, La Hougue Tower is a recognized landmark and a popular site for visitors interested in history.
