LL chondrites
LL chondrites are a type of stony meteorite that originate from the asteroid belt. They are characterized by their low iron and metal content, which distinguishes them from other chondrite types. LL chondrites are believed to have formed in the early solar system, around 4.5 billion years ago, and provide valuable insights into the conditions of that time.
These meteorites contain small spherical particles called chondrules, which are made of minerals that crystallized from molten droplets. The study of LL chondrites helps scientists understand the processes that shaped the early solar system and the formation of planetary bodies, including Earth.
