Chondrites
Chondrites are a type of stony meteorite that are among the oldest materials in the solar system. They are composed mainly of small, round particles called chondrules, which formed from molten droplets in space. Chondrites provide valuable insights into the early solar system and the processes that led to the formation of planets.
These meteorites are classified into several groups based on their mineral composition and chemical properties. Some well-known types of chondrites include carbonaceous chondrites, which contain organic compounds, and ordinary chondrites, which are the most common type. Studying chondrites helps scientists understand the building blocks of planetary bodies and the history of our solar system.
