LIN Bus
LIN Bus (Local Interconnect Network Bus) is a low-cost, serial communication protocol used primarily in automotive applications. It allows various electronic components in a vehicle, such as sensors and actuators, to communicate with each other efficiently. The protocol is designed to operate at a speed of up to 20 Kbps, making it suitable for less demanding tasks compared to other networks like CAN Bus.
The LIN Bus system consists of a master node and multiple slave nodes, where the master controls the communication. This setup simplifies wiring and reduces costs, as it requires fewer connections than traditional systems. LIN Bus is often used for functions like controlling windows, mirrors, and lighting in vehicles.
