LIDOM
LIDOM, or the Liga Dominicana de Béisbol Profesional, is the professional baseball league in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1951, it features six teams that compete annually from October to January. The league is known for its high level of talent, often showcasing players who go on to have successful careers in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The teams in LIDOM include the Águilas Cibaeñas, Leones del Escogido, and Tigres del Licey, among others. The league culminates in a championship series, with the winner representing the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Series, a tournament featuring champions from other Caribbean leagues.
