Liga Dominicana de Béisbol Profesional
The Liga Dominicana de Béisbol Profesional (LIDOM) is the top professional baseball league in the Dominican Republic. Established in 1951, it features six teams that compete annually from October to January. The league is known for its high level of talent, often showcasing players who later succeed in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Each season culminates in a championship series, where the top teams vie for the title. The winner of the LIDOM championship earns the opportunity to represent the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Series, competing against champions from other Caribbean leagues.
