LCD Screen
An LCD screen, or Liquid Crystal Display, is a flat-panel display technology commonly used in televisions, computer monitors, and smartphones. It works by using liquid crystals that change alignment when an electric current is applied, allowing light to pass through and create images. LCD screens are known for their thin design, energy efficiency, and ability to produce sharp, vibrant colors.
These screens typically consist of several layers, including a backlight, polarizers, and the liquid crystal layer itself. LED technology is often used as a backlight source, enhancing brightness and contrast. LCD screens have largely replaced older display technologies like CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) due to their superior performance and compact size.
