LACNIC
LACNIC, or the Latin American and Caribbean Network Information Centre, is a non-profit organization responsible for the allocation and management of Internet number resources in the Latin America and Caribbean region. It plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient distribution of IP addresses and AS numbers, which are essential for the functioning of the Internet.
Founded in 2002, LACNIC also promotes the development of the Internet in the region through various initiatives, including training and capacity-building programs. It collaborates with other regional and global organizations to enhance Internet governance and foster a secure and stable online environment for its members.
