L'Érable (Syrup)
L'Érable, or maple syrup, is a sweet syrup made from the sap of maple trees. The process begins in early spring when the sap is collected from the trees. It is then boiled down to remove excess water, resulting in a thick, sweet syrup.
This syrup is commonly used as a topping for pancakes and waffles, but it can also be used in cooking and baking. Canada is the largest producer of maple syrup, contributing about 71% of the world's supply, with Quebec being the primary region for production.
