Lê Dynasty
The Lê Dynasty was a Vietnamese dynasty that ruled from 1428 to 1789. It was founded by Lê Lợi, who led a successful rebellion against the Ming Dynasty of China. The dynasty is known for its strong central government, cultural achievements, and efforts to promote Confucianism in Vietnam.
During the Lê Dynasty, Vietnam experienced significant territorial expansion and economic growth. The dynasty is often divided into two periods: the Early Lê (1428-1527) and the Later Lê (1533-1789). The Later Lê period saw internal conflicts and challenges from rival factions, ultimately leading to its decline and the rise of the Nguyễn Dynasty.
