The Jogorku Kenesh operates in a unicameral system, meaning it has only one chamber. It plays a crucial role in the country's political system, representing the interests of the citizens and ensuring that the government is held accountable. The Parliament meets in the capital city, Bishkek, to conduct its sessions.
