Kutch Desert
The Kutch Desert, located in the western Indian state of Gujarat, is one of the largest salt deserts in the world. It spans approximately 30,000 square kilometers and is characterized by its unique white salt flats, known as Rann of Kutch. The desert experiences extreme temperatures, with scorching heat during the day and cooler nights.
The region is home to diverse wildlife, including the endangered Indian Wild Ass and various migratory birds. The Kutch Desert also hosts the annual Rann Utsav, a cultural festival that showcases local crafts, music, and dance, attracting tourists from around the globe.
