Kuna People
The Kuna People are an indigenous group primarily residing in the Guna Yala region of Panama and parts of Colombia. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, including vibrant traditional clothing, intricate beadwork, and unique molas, which are textile art pieces that often depict nature and daily life.
The Kuna have a matrilineal society, meaning lineage and inheritance are traced through the female line. They maintain a strong connection to their land and traditions, practicing subsistence agriculture, fishing, and hunting. The Kuna also have their own language, called Dulegaya, which is an essential part of their identity.
