Kumyk language
The Kumyk language is a Turkic language spoken primarily by the Kumyk people in the North Caucasus region of Russia. It is one of the official languages of the Dagestan Republic and has around 300,000 speakers. The language uses the Cyrillic script and has influences from Arabic, Persian, and Russian due to historical interactions.
Kumyk is part of the Oghuz branch of Turkic languages, which also includes Turkish and Azerbaijani. The language has a rich oral tradition, with folklore, poetry, and songs that reflect the culture and history of the Kumyk people.
