Korean Ethnic Minority
The term "Korean Ethnic Minority" refers to groups of people of Korean descent living outside of Korea. These communities can be found in various countries, including the United States, China, Japan, and Russia. They often maintain their cultural practices, language, and traditions while also integrating into the societies where they reside.
In China, for example, the Korean ethnic minority is recognized as one of the 55 official minority groups. They primarily inhabit the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province, where they preserve their unique customs and celebrate traditional festivals, contributing to the rich cultural diversity of the region.
