Korean Ethnic Groups
The primary ethnic group in Korea is the Korean people, who share a common language, culture, and history. They predominantly reside in South Korea and North Korea, with a significant diaspora around the world. The majority of Koreans identify as ethnically homogeneous, which has contributed to a strong sense of national identity.
In addition to the main Korean population, there are smaller ethnic groups, such as the Korean Chinese (or Chaoxianzu) and Korean Americans. These groups maintain their unique cultural practices while also integrating aspects of their host countries, contributing to the rich tapestry of global Korean culture.
