Kochia scoparia
Kochia scoparia, commonly known as burning bush or summer cypress, is a flowering plant in the amaranth family. It is native to Eurasia and is often found in dry, sandy soils. This annual plant can grow up to 1 meter tall and features small, green leaves that turn red in the fall, making it visually striking.
The plant produces small, inconspicuous flowers that develop into clusters of seeds. Kochia scoparia is often used in landscaping for its ornamental value and is also known for its ability to tolerate drought conditions. However, it can become invasive in some regions, outcompeting native vegetation.
