Knitting Styles
Knitting styles refer to the various techniques and methods used to create knitted fabric. The two most common styles are English knitting and Continental knitting. In English knitting, the yarn is held in the right hand, and the knitter uses the right needle to wrap the yarn around the left needle. In contrast, Continental knitting involves holding the yarn in the left hand, allowing for a quicker and often more efficient technique.
Another popular style is Portuguese knitting, where the yarn is tensioned around the neck or a hook, making it easy to create stitches with minimal movement. Each style has its own unique advantages, and knitters often choose based on personal preference or the specific project they are working on.
