Kniphofia
Kniphofia, commonly known as red hot poker or torch lily, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asphodelaceae. These perennial plants are native to Africa and are known for their tall spikes of tubular flowers that can be red, orange, or yellow. They typically bloom in summer and attract hummingbirds and butterflies.
The foliage of Kniphofia consists of long, strap-like leaves that form a clump at the base. These plants thrive in well-drained soil and prefer full sun to partial shade. They are often used in gardens for their striking appearance and ability to tolerate drought conditions once established.
