Kluane Wildlife Sanctuary
The Kluane Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the southwestern part of the Yukon Territory in Canada. Established in 1976, it covers over 22,000 square kilometers and is part of the larger Kluane National Park and Reserve. The sanctuary is known for its diverse ecosystems, including mountains, forests, and wetlands, which provide habitats for various wildlife species.
Home to animals such as grizzly bears, moose, and Dall sheep, the sanctuary plays a crucial role in conservation efforts. It also serves as a vital area for migratory birds, making it an important site for both ecological research and wildlife observation.
