Kishu
The Kishu is a breed of dog that originates from the Kishu region of Japan. Known for their hunting abilities, these dogs were traditionally used to track and hunt game such as boar and deer. They are medium-sized, with a strong build, and have a short, dense coat that can come in various colors, including white, brindle, and red.
Kishus are known for their loyalty and intelligence, making them excellent companions. They are typically reserved around strangers but are affectionate with their families. Due to their strong prey drive, early socialization and training are essential for a well-behaved pet.
