King William
King William refers to several historical figures, but most notably, it often pertains to William the Conqueror, who became the first Norman King of England in 1066. He was born in 1028 in Falaise, Normandy and was originally known as William I. His reign marked significant changes in English society, law, and culture following his victory at the Battle of Hastings.
Another notable King William is William III of England, who ruled from 1689 to 1702. He was a Dutch prince who became king alongside his wife, Mary II, after the Glorious Revolution. His reign is remembered for the establishment of constitutional monarchy and the strengthening of parliamentary power in England.
