King Midas (Touch)
King Midas is a character from Greek mythology known for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold. This power was granted to him by the god Dionysus as a reward for his hospitality. However, Midas soon realized that this gift was more of a curse, as he could not eat or drink, and even his beloved daughter, Marigold, turned to gold when he embraced her.
Desperate to rid himself of this ability, Midas sought help from Dionysus. The god instructed him to wash in the river Pactolus, which would remove the golden touch. After doing so, Midas learned to appreciate the simple joys of life, understanding that wealth does not equate to happiness.
