King Magnus I of Norway
King Magnus I of Norway, also known as Magnus the Good, ruled from 1035 to 1047. He was the son of King Olaf II of Norway and became king after the death of his half-brother, King Canute the Great. Magnus is known for his efforts to unite Norway and strengthen its position in the region.
During his reign, Magnus sought to maintain peace with neighboring kingdoms, including Denmark. He is remembered for his fair governance and attempts to promote Christianity in Norway. Magnus I's reign ended when he died in 1047, and he was succeeded by his son, Harald Hardrada.
