King Injo
King Injo was the 16th king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1623 to 1649. He is known for his efforts to maintain stability during a tumultuous period marked by internal strife and external threats, particularly from the Manchu invasions. His reign saw the decline of the dynasty's power and influence.
Injo faced significant challenges, including the Second Manchu invasion in 1636, which ultimately led to the fall of the Joseon Dynasty's sovereignty. His leadership style was often criticized for being indecisive, and he struggled to adapt to the changing political landscape of East Asia during his time.
